Normal Training, not for Elder Holt... (8-14-17)

So this week wasn't as interesting everyday but we definitely had some interesting things happen. I've decided the Lord just 100% doesn't want me to have a normal mission. Or at least a normal training, because it started out with my trainer who finished his mission with a half transfer that president organized so the Elders could get back in time for school, so i had him for 3 weeks. Normally you get trained for 12 weeks by the same companion. So then I got put in a tripanionship for the rest of the transfer, and after that I'll have my first full real companion for a full transfer (supposedly at the rate things are going tho, probably not haha)  So then on Sunday one of my Companions while we were on splits ( so we could cover all the wards we had a Melchizedek Priesthood holder go with one of the Elders) Elder Kneip (my comp) had a bunch of stomach problems the night before, and after our first sacrament meeting (yeah thats right i said first, i have to go to 2 full sessions of church - 6 HOURS  and then meetings for ward council for both wards each week so non of ya'lls best be complaining. I thought it was hard to stay awake for 3 hours before my mission, ha was I wrong! hahahahaha) he says yo, we gotta go and I ended up taking him to the ER and he had appendicitis so I spent my Sunday from 10-4 with him in the hospital being prepped for surgery and stuff. We had an Emergency Transfer so one of the Elders could sit with him, so we can get work done in Ellensberg while he's recovering because he's not allowed to leave till Tuesday at the earliest. Since we are in a tri pin we have one companionship to cover all of Ellensberg, so we barely have the capabilities for the work thats going on right now and we need to be out there working. But yeah that was my Sunday.

One more amazing thing that did happen tho is we now have 3 investigators on dates for the month of September. We taught 2 heavy smokers in one day on Friday. One of them was an eternal investigator, who usually has to take a smoke every lesson when things get kinda real for her, but during the lesson the spirit was so strong she asked us what she needs to do to be baptized. She didn't like our answer and I don’t know if she's going to quit, but it was so much progress it was insane. (She did have to take a second smoke break during that lesson, but I feel like we're making head way haha) The second person we taught that day is on date now has committed to stop smoking in 3 weeks. She has a really hard life and uses it to control stress, but now is honestly trying to turn her life around. I'm so proud of her. Her name is Stephanie and the other lady is Terri.

hint hint look at the ps ;) haha love ya'lls

That's about the news for this week. Love ya'll tons and I really apprieciate all the love and prayers you send my way.
